MUSIC IN SYMBIOSIS WITH IMAGE

Generally, I don't like it when there is too much music in a movie.
It must be just right for her.
I consider it a terrible manner (often used in Hollywood productions) to accompany the actors' facial expressions, gestures and movements with music. This degrades both the music and the image, making them resemble overdubbed laughs in the background of the film.
I prefer it when music in a film is a deepening counterpoint, or a discreet statement of the ineffable.
